Key safety information such as ‘safe notices’, ‘possession briefing’ notes and videos or industry safety alerts will all be delivered using ‘smart forms’ through Swetha’s mobile rostering application.
Each relevant employee will be notified via text message to open their mobile rostering application field worker app and review the specified notification. There is no limit to the type of form, types of questions, attachments or imbedded links that can be combined to deliver an interactive notification.
Once the employee has completed the form review they will sign and submit their declaration which is then stored in mobile rostering application creating a retrievable record and audit trail.
In general, safety information is classified in the app as:
Information only
Mandatory
Task Specific
The classification of information defines the method of communication as outlined below.
1.Information only
This includes general information that need to be communicated to staff- it may be group specific eg safe working or for all employees- changes to management staff, company structure, christmas office closures etc. Method of communication- mobile rostering application.
2.Information only
This includes general information that need to be communicated to staff- it may be group specific eg safe working or for all employees- changes to management staff, company structure, christmas office closures etc. Method of communication- mobile rostering application.
3.Task Specific
Task Specific – this includes client or task/work specific inductions for example- possession briefings, site/project Induction etc. In this group, the rostering staff advise the works coordinator to attend the possession- with applicable field staff or all workers are booked directly by the schedulers to attend inductions either prior to the day’s work or at a pre-arranged time. The rostering staff or Works Coordinator are responsible to ensure the induction has been completed prior to the works commencing. Where the Task Specific Information may be delivered through mobile rostering application.
When Field staff complete- information is then available for the Works Coordinator to review prior to the possession/works commencing- any issues are resolved with any field staff or referred back to rostering for reallocation and repeating the above steps.
THE NET GPS has been associated with Swetha International for the past 3 years as a service provider of GPS Tracking solutions. THE NET GPS developed the TRACK n TAG Android App that allows Swetha employees to operate safely on Sydney Trains property while being monitored with the online and mobile tracking software platforms provide by THE NET GPS. This service is provided to Swetha on an SAAS (Software as a service) basis.
THE NET GPS has released a new online/mobile-tracking platform that is specially designed for its Australian clients. The new platform will offer improved management tools and reporting that are better suited to Australian business.
The App has been design to suit individual clients, which allows THE NET GPS to set up work tag statuses for Swetha that allows their workers to select when they enter and exit a Sydney Trains corridor. As different tags are selected, emails are sent to the Sydney Trains management team to notify them of what the Swetha staff member is doing. This allows Sydney Trains to understand when Swetha staff is onsite, which adds a level of safety awareness. Daily and weekly reports are automatically generated by the platform to give an accurate audit account of staff movement based on historical data.
THE NET GPS stores all archived data for a period of 12 months, which allows for audits for that period.
Swetha were the motivating factor for THE NET GPS to develop TRACK n TAG, which meant that the app was developed with Swetha’s requirements in mind.
Swetha International intends to offer its clients a GPS tracking system built by THE NET (Sydney based) that allows the Principal to monitor the movements of work crews while working on this project. Our company has used this system for the past few years with its work in NSW and benefited from the many attributes it delivers on a daily basis. Sydney Trains utilises the services of the GPS system on its vegetation control project. It has proven to be an effective business tool – easy to install and implement, relatively inexpensive and extremely portable. It has delivered efficiencies to the vegetation control project which has seen cost savings emerge as a result.
The GPS system is fully mobile and can be transferred between users within a crew to maintain location data. Corridor managers are able to access crew movements and locations instantly. The information generated by the GPS system can be downloaded onto a PC and allow data to be processed and reported upon. The GPS system is equipped with a TRACK ‘TRACE technology for speed of location and accuracy. The system offers major business and safety benefits when installed and operative. It allows for Sydney Trains management to have real time information on the daily working of crews and allow for the tracking of movements that can be formally reported.
Swetha would highly recommend that its clients consider the use of this system. THE NET and Swetha have established a business arrangement over the years that we would like its clients to benefit from into the future.
